Daughter Receives £10,000 For Negligent Actions

£10,000 Settlement

This claim was taken on behalf of Anastasia’s daughter after Anastasia sadly passed away from cancer last year.

The claim involved an extravasation injury following a course of chemotherapy. Pryers argued that during a course of chemotherapy, there was a failure to insert the needle correctly into the portacath, which resulted in scarring of the breast.

The Defendant initially refused to deal with the claim and suggested that any negligence had been committed by a treating radiologist. However, after some time, the Defendant eventually made some limited admissions.

Our client was then able to accept the Defendant’s offer of £10,000.
