£125,000 Settlement

Mr C fell at work on rubble in a yard where he worked and fractured his dominant arm.  He went on to develop Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS).  CRPS involves severe, continuous and debilitating pain. It is usually confined to one limb, but can spread to other parts of the body in some cases.

The defendants admitted liability and we were able to secure regular interim payments to keep the claimant going whilst he was unable to work.  He was unable to return to his former job and re-qualified as an electrical installer.

The defendants initially offered a settlement at a little over £59,000.  This was rejected on our advice and the defendants then increased their offer to around £75,000 and then £100,000.  Finally we were able to recommend settlement to our client in the sum of £125,000.
