£20,000 Settlement
Christine, 32, from Harrogate, was cycling across a mini-roundabout when a bus driver failed to heed her presence and collided with her.
The bus driver didn’t stop in time and subsequently stopped the bus when the front wheel was resting on Christine’s lower back/buttock. Christine then tried to pull herself up off the floor, tearing and damaging muscles and ligaments in her thigh and buttock.
The defendant admitted liability.
They made an initial offer of £15,000. However, after negotiation with Pryers, the offer was increased to £20,000. Christine accepted this.
