This claim was brought on behalf of a Polish speaking client. He understood very basic English. Accident occurred at work when he fell from an inadequately secured ladder, falling a considerable distance and sustaining a serious ankle injury. Liability was denied and court proceedings were commenced. The case was list the trial.

Pryers had to instruct an interpreter for all instructions, including dealing with all Court matters, evidence and negotiations. Prior to the trial, the defendant insurers requested a round table meeting and claim was settled by negotiation.
