Mr A was knocked down by a car sustaining a serious soft tissue injury to his knee. After several surgical procedures he was left unable to fully bend the knee. As a result of the injuries, he was unable to continue to work in his chosen career which involved standing up and manual work.

Mr A would only be able to carry out a desk-based role. His final settlement included sums in respect of the loss of his chosen career, loss of earnings and loss of a generous pension.
