On the 16th September Pryers solicitor, Alistair Stokes completed the Oslo Marathon in Norway in aid of the Candlelighters Trust.

Alistair Stokes, 36, of Cattal, ran the Oslo Marathon in a time of four hours and three minutes. He has so far raised more than £500, to show your support you can donate on the JustGiving page.

The marathon was won by Japanese marathon runner Yuki Kawauchi with a time of two hours and eight minutes.

Candlelighters are a charity dedicated to fighting children’s cancer. Their support is there to make a really difficult time in the hospital that bit easier with things such as media workshops and IT equipment, so children can get creative, even if they are unable to get to school. This isn’t the first time Alistair has completed a marathon for charity. In April, Alistair completed the Vienna Marathon in Austria in aid of the Spinal Injuries Association, raising more than £2,150.
