Now in its sixth year, the annual Macmillan Hopes and Dreams Charity Ball is an enchanting and inspiring fundraising event; one that we at Pryers are proud to be sponsoring and excited to be attending once again.
Daring to have hopes and dreams
Day in and day out, our medical negligence solicitors deal with cancer victims who believe their hopes and dreams are no longer possible.
Many of our clients have suffered delayed diagnoses, misdiagnoses or other forms of negligent treatment. When we achieve settlements, the compensation often helps improve living conditions and allows those affected to hope and dream of a brighter future.
Macmillan Cancer Support
Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the largest British charities, providing support to people affected by cancer. The charity is made up of supporters, professionals, volunteers and campaigners, who work tirelessly to ensure that people are treated like people; not just patients.
The charity was founded in 1911 by Douglas Macmillan, after having watched his father die of cancer. Macmillan has grown to become one of the biggest British charities, now raising well in excess of £200m per year, helping those affected by cancer.
This year’s event
The Macmillan Hopes and Dreams Charity Ball encourages goals, aspirations and wishes. The ball is an opportunity to put worries and fears aside and to live in the moment, enjoying the fantastic live entertainment and inspirational speakers.
This year’s ball will be taking place on 29 October and as in previous years, will be held by York Racecourse and hosted by YorkMix.
So much time, effort and dedication goes into the preparation for this event each year. It truly is inspiring and we cannot wait to be a part of it!
