Some of the team at Pryers Solicitors are taking on this year’s Heart of York bike ride. They will be raising cash for the British Heart Foundation.

Amy Crundwell, a Solicitor at Pryers, brought team together for the 2013 edition of the event. Heart disease research is a cause close to her heart. She told the York Press that “Both my dad and my brother have had heart attacks. My brother was only 21, he’s an athlete and just pushed himself too far, and my dad had his heart attack at mile 51 of a 60 mile bike ride.”

Pryers will have a team partake again, to raise money for a great cause, on roads close to office. This year’s even will be taking place on Sunday 7 September.

There are two options available to participants; a 22 mile route and a 4o mile route. Both starting and finishing in York, after taking in some of the beautiful North Yorkshire roads, which surround the city. The shorter route is completely flat, whilst the longer takes in some of the undulating terrain that makes up the Howardian Hills, near to Castle Howard.

All of the money raised by the event will go towards the Mending Broken Hearts Appeal which supports research into repairing heart muscles after cardiac arrests.
